Star Wars Figurine Display Cases

We here at better display cases are always excited to see how we have helped people display their story, and we are always looking for new ways to do so. One of our most loyal customers, Joshua E., is using our cases (lots of them) to show off his collectible Star Wars figures from each of the three trilogies.

In his first case, he is displaying two fierce royal guards, standing ready to defend the Dark Lord of the Sith, Darth Sidious. The Royal Guard of the galactic empire traces its roots back to the Thyrsus Sun Guard, a group of mercenary fanatics that later became a Sith cult. A large cadre of the Sun Guard fell into the service of Hego Damask, a Muun business tycoon and the alter ego of Darth Plagius, Darth Sidious' Master. After Darth Sidious, under the guise of Sheev Palpatine, became the Supreme chancellor of the Galactic republic with the assistance of his master, he killed Plagius and turned the Sun Guard into the Red Guard, his personal bodyguards and military force.

The Red Guard wore long, blood red robes to hide the many weapons that they were trained in, which included vibroblades, blaster pistols, and smart rocket launchers. The standard weapon of the Guard, which Joshua's figures are brandishing menacingly, was the force pike, a long lance with a vibroblade at the end and a powerful stun setting. This powerful arsenal made them a force to be feared, even Yoda himself said that they were well trained.

After the clone wars led to the destruction of the Jedi order, Palpatine became the ruler of his new Galactic Empire and the Red Guard's name was changed to the Royal Guard to better reflect the new standing of their commander. The royal guard were completely loyal to Emperor Palpatine and served him faithfully until his death at the end of the galactic civil war by his own apprentice, Darth Vader.

Joshua's second display case contains the three most famous service droids from the entire Star Wars universe, C-3PO, R2-D2, and BB-8. C-3PO is a humanoid protocol droid and was a personal droid to Anakin Skywalker in his youth. Anakin gifted C-3PO to his wife, Padme Amadala, and he served as her personal assistant during the clone wars. Threepio survived to see the start of the galactic civil war and personally accompanied Luke Skywalker in many of his battles against the empire.

R2-D2 is an astromech droid, designed to act as an automatic mechanic and assistant for starfighter pilots. He was the personal astromech droid of Anakin Skywalker during the clone wars, carried the death star plans for the rebel alliance, served as a copilot and friend to Luke Skywalker as he underwent Jedi training and assaulted the Death Star, and was responsible for keeping the map to Luke's whereabouts safe at the start of the new trilogy. Looking back, it seems like little R2-D2 saw more action then almost anyone else in the Star Wars canon.

The third droid displayed here is BB-8. He, like R2-D2 is an astromech droid, except BB-8 is a much newer model. During the events of The Force Awakens BB-8 carries a small portion of the map to Luke Skywalker's hideout for a resistance pilot called Poe Damoran, before joining Finn, a defected storm trooper, and Rey, one of the last surviving Jedi, in their fight against the New Order.

These robotic companions played a larger role in the fight versus the Sith then anyone could have expected upon first glance, so I am sure we are all excited to see where these three droids are headed as the series continues in Star Wars: Episode VIII - The Last Jedi this December.

His collection doesn't come close to stopping there however. We received pictures of his whole Star Wars figure collection once it was assembled. It includes huge icons like Luke Skywalker, Leia Organa, Yoda, Han Solo, and a menacing Emperor Palpatine.

There are many more present then just the big names though, with additions of Lando Calrissian, a pair of ewoks, and a small squadron of imperial storm troopers. The most incredible thing to me, is that all these figures are presented in OUR display cases.  Thank you Joshua!  We are very happy we could be such a big part of your collection.
